How we saw whale shark!

Hello guys!

After the winter breake, when I went to Maldives and Egypt to safari I am back in Sharm. You will not believe, I am here since April this year and only few days ago I jump to the water first time. Why? Because my job is not a diver but a tourleader or holiday rep as you like. Diving must wait after work or during my days off but I don´t have too many these days. Last year I wrote how I missed the whale shark on Shark reef/Yolanda, this year I jumped to the water because when I finaly decide to go for diving I had to jump. In May and June I had no luck because I got sick - ear and wrist. This time was luck with me and some more divers. We jumped in 2 groups to the water in dive site Ras Um Sid, our second dive that day. Like we decided during the brifing first part of our dive we kept max deep 14-15m and swon next to the coral reef. After we descended deeper to see the gorgonias and we were something new for a small muray, than we reached the corner and we swom little bit to the blue. We kept swimming, looking around but nothing to see, so our instructor Mario changed the direction of swimming back to the reef, I am still keeping swimming in the blue. I turned my head little bit to check the situation behind me and also I checked my dive buddy Adam. He showed me OK so I still keep swimmning in the blue. I see behind me a lot of bubbles so I turn myself more and I see the second group and bubbles nothing else, so I wait to see what is going on. I dont have optical mask so I have problem to see to the far, but finaly I got sharp picture, they are swimmning wiith whale shark. In this moment I start to make pictures, one, two, three and more and more. I have picture and I have experience for all my life. This period is time for whale shark here in Sharm El Sheikh, but I did not expect that I will see it immediately first time when I will go to the water. When I swimm back to the reef to be with the group I see Hynek and I show him the pictures. In his eyes I see the question - when and where, my answer right here, right now. I swimm also to Adam, he looks so sad that he did not see the whale shark too. Nobody made any signal to let the others know that something happen but I think that they know why. Maybe if we make noise whale shark will swimm to the blue, but like this we spent nice time with it. We can´t check it now but maybe next time. We finish our dive in the coral garden of Ras Um Sid, swimm little bit back behind the corner and than back, no more luck so Mario finished the dive and we go up to the surface and waiting for the boat. Guys are sad when they see my pictures but they still have chance to see it because they do diving every day, I can´t so I hope that they will see it next time. I waited for this meeting for 8years, since I arrived first time to Sharm El Sheikh.
